Blackberry Coconut Margarita

The margarita gets a major summery upgrade with tart, juicy blackberries and sweet, decadent coconut. This tropical blackberry margarita is perfect for sipping on the deck while grilling!

Ingredients

  • Small handful of fresh or frozen blackberries
  • 1.5 oz blanco tequila
  • 1 oz coconut rum
  • 1 oz fresh-squeezed lime juice
  • Optional dash of agave
  • Optional dash (or more) of coconut water
  • Few additional fresh blackberries for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a cocktail shaker, muddle the blackberries vigorously, until they release all their colorful juice.
  2. Add the tequila, rum, lime juice, agave (optional), and coconut water (optional) to the shaker. Shake well with ice.
  3. Using a fine-mesh strainer to remove all the blackberry seeds and pulp, pour into a serving glass over ice.
  4. Add a few additional fresh blackberries for garnish.
