Blackberry Tequila Mule (Mexican Mule)

This seasonal tequila mule is easy to make, has a fabulous color, and is perfect for summer parties. It has a very special story too!

  • 4-6 large blackberries
  • 2 oz blanco tequila
  • 0.5 oz fresh-squeezed lime juice
  • 3-4 oz low-sugar ginger beer, to top
  • Blackberries, lime wheel, mint spring, and/or edible flower for garnish

  1. In a cocktail shaker, muddle the blackberries thoroughly.
  2. Add the tequila and lime juice to the muddled berries and shake well with ice.
  3. Using a fine-mesh strainer to remove the berry seeds and pulp, strain the cocktail into a tall, narrow serving glass filled with ice.
  4. Top with several ounces of ginger beer.
  5. If desired, garnish with additional blackberries, a lime wheel, a mint spring, and/or an edible flower.
