Three-Ingredient Turmeric Tahini Sauce (Healthy, Vegan, Oil-Free)
This creamy turmeric tahini sauce uses just three ingredients and is naturally plant-based and oil-free. Use it as a dressing, sauce, or dip for bowl meals, salads, veggies, and more.
Ingredients
- 0.25 c creamy tahini
- 1-3 tsp maple syrup
- 1-3 tsp citrus juice of choice (optional)
- 0.25-1 tsp turmeric
- Generous pinch of salt
- Dash of water as needed
Instructions
- In a small mixing bowl or measuring cup, mix the tahini with 1 tsp maple syrup, 1 tsp citrus juice (optional), 0.25 tsp turmeric, and a pinch of salt.
- Taste and adjust as you see fit. You can add additional maple syrup for more sweetness, additional citrus for more zing, and/or additional turmeric for more color and more turmeric flavor.
- After you achieve the flavor you like, keep adding very small dashes of water until you reach your desired texture. Don't worry if the sauce seizes up; this can happen because the fat in the tahini doesn't mix easily with water. Just keep stirring and adding more water until it smooths out.
